Prof.Dr. Hamza Kandur was born in Sivas, Turkey in 1964. He went to the UK to pursue postagraduate studies after graduating from the Department of Librarianship at the University of Hacettepe in 1986. Following the completion of his Masters at the University of Loughborough in the Department of Library Archives and Information Studies, he went on to complete his Doctorate at the University College London at the School of Library Archives and Information Studies on Electronic Records Management in 1992. In the same year his employment at the University of Marmara as a Lecturer commenced. 

 

Prof. Kandur was awarded an Assistant Professorship in 1993, Associate Professorship in 1998 and a Professorship in 2006 and is currently the Head of Department. Prof. Kandur has several publications and has led many projects in his areas of specialism of Electronic Records Management, Records Standards and E-Government.
